Carrier rate cards (editable JSON). The preloaded entries are EXAMPLES with invented rates, not real carriers.
Fields: id, name, base_usd, per_km_usd, per_kg_usd, min_usd, max_kg, max_dim_cm, max_km, open (HH:MM), close (HH:MM), pickup_lead_min, speed_factor (multiplier on OSRM drive time), optional dispatch_url (POST target), optional service_center {lat, lon, radius_km}.
Data sources and limits
- Routing: OSRM public demo server (
router.project-osrm.org) for road distance and drive time on OpenStreetMap data. The demo server is provided for testing with no availability guarantee; production needs a self-hosted OSRM or a paid routing API. - Geocoding: Nominatim (
nominatim.openstreetmap.org) for address text. Usage policy limits to light use with attribution; lat,lon input skips it. - Carrier quotes: computed from rate cards you configure, not from live carrier APIs. The preloaded cards are examples with invented numbers. Real carrier pricing (Uber Direct, DoorDash Drive, ShipEngine sandboxes and regional networks) requires per-carrier credentials held in a Worker; that is the v0.2 path.
- Dispatch: POSTs the job to the winning carrier's
dispatch_urlif one is configured; otherwise shows the payload. Nothing is booked with any real carrier by this page.
